Every love story is beautiful, but ours is our favorite
We first crossed paths at a mutual friend's art gallery opening in downtown San Francisco. James was admiring a painting while Emma was discussing the artist's technique with the curator. A chance comment about the brushwork sparked our first conversation that lasted until the gallery closed.
Our first official date was a hiking trip to Mount Tamalpais. Despite Emma getting us slightly lost (she still denies this!), we discovered our shared love for nature, terrible dad jokes, and the perfect picnic spot that would become "our place."
James planned the perfect surprise proposal at our special picnic spot on Mount Tamalpais, just as the sun was setting over the bay. With our favorite playlist softly playing and surrounded by fairy lights he'd secretly hung earlier, he got down on one knee. Of course, Emma said yes!
